I Due Kennedy/La Donna Degli Altri E Sempre Piu Bella (with bonus tracks)
CD (Item 613678) Saimel (Spain), 1963/1969 — Condition: New Copy
Two very different soundtracks from Italian maestro Carlo Savina – back to back on a single CD! I Due Kennedy is a film that looks at the late JFK and brother Bobby Kennedy – and is scored by Savina with all the dark, moody, somber tones you might expect – music that definitely has a feel that's funereal, yet in a respectful way too. The original album's eight tracks are expanded here by a dozen more – and the bonus tracks are almost even more amazing – as they've got some more dynamic instrumentation that almost remind us of early 60s TV drama jazz scoring. Titles include "I Due Kennedy", "Memento Blues", "L'Ultimo West", "Sgomento", "Il Tragico Passato", and "La Casa Blanca". Next is La Donna Degli – a wonderful early 60s comedy soundtrack by Carlo Savino – filled with groovy little numbers that range from bossa novas, to slinky jazz, to some even more mysterious instrumental passages – all in a mode that's like some of the best Piero Piccioni scores of the time! There's a nice mix of playful passages and mod little groovers – and the CD features a total of 11 tracks from the film. (Limited edition.) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
