Think Twice/E=MC2
7-inch (Item 606799) BBE (UK), 2001/2006 — Condition: New Copy
Classic Jay Dee/Dilla craft on BBE – "Think Twice" from his landmark Welcome To Detroit set circa '91 – backed by "E=MC2" from the posthumous Shining set, featuring a rhyme by Common. "Think Twice" is Jay Dee's cover of the Donald Byrd jazz funk gem, featuring Dwele. Dwele plays keys & trumpet and the track has a trombone credited to "Dwele's brother". We remember being floored by Jay Dee's originality and dinstinctive vibe when we first heard that record, as well as saluting him for paying tribute to mid 70s Blue Note so brilliantly! The flip is one of our favorite tracks from The Shining. © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
