Why Don't You Love Me/Hitch Hike
7-inch (Item 594232) Mascot, 1965 — Condition: New Copy
A rare nugget from the Detroit scene of the 60s – a pre-Alice Cooper group with a great mix of garage and soul! There's a surprising amount of Motown influence going on here – not just on the cover of "Hitch Hike" on the flipside, but also on the jaunty groove of "Why Don't You Love Me" – a tune that shows a bit of a Beatles influence, but that side of early Beatles that was also heavily influenced by American soul! More proof that Detroit was one of the most interesting music scenes of the 60s! © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
