Essential reissue of this great mellow grooving soul LP from the late 70s! All the tracks are very deep, in the vein of Leroy Hutson, but with a club-tinged groove that makes the music even more solid for groovers. Includes the classic cut "Give Me the Sunshine", and the original recording of "I'm Back for More", which was the big hit for Al Johnson a few years later. Great stuff, with a very smooth sound and an excellent approach to production. There's a total of 8 cuts – 4 vocals, and 4 instrumental versions of the same tracks – just right for DJs!  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Alston, 1976. New Copy (reissue)
One of the rarest funky records of all time – the hard-to-find second album by Beginning Of The End! This West Indian combo hit it big with their first album on Alston, but this second set, for some strange reason, never really got distributed – which is a damn shame, because it's ... Dakar, 1972. New Copy (reissue)
A killer bit of early funk from the great Hamilton Bohannon – and quite possibly his greatest album ever – a really unique approach to funky rhythms, with a sound that's unlike anything else we can think of! The album's got a slower funk sound than Bohannon's later disco groove a few ... LP, Vinyl record album
Reprise/4 Men With Beards, 1975. New Copy (reissue)
Damn great work from Allen Toussaint – a record that was cut at a time when he'd really made his way into the mainstream of American music, yet could still come across with a hard New Orleans groove! The title cut, "Southern Nights", is a perfect illustration of this fact – ... LP, Vinyl record album
