Svein Finnerud Trio (Japanese paper sleeve edition)
CD (Item 559226) Norsk Jazzforum/Jazzhus Disk (Japan), 1968 — Condition: New Copy
Amazing sounds from Norwegian pianist Svein Finnerud – one of his earliest albums, and one of his most striking, too! The set was recorded in the late 60s – and it's got that beautiful balance of new freedoms and Bill Evans-inspired colors that some of Svein's American and British counterparts were exploring at the time – a sound that's definitely stretching out, but often never too far – really rich in feeling and organic tones, in ways that gives the album a deep soul that holds up all these many years later! There's song contributions from both Bleys – Paul and Carla – and players include Bjornar Andresen on bass and Espen Rud on percussion. Titles include "Ida", "Mazatlan", "Cocarde", "Jaba 768", and "Elenora De Gileramo". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
