An incredibly lovely record from Kraftwerk – fashioned along the same suite-like style as Radio Activity, and served up with some haunting and charming tunes throughout! The electronics are quite spare, yet very thoughtful – never a note out of place, as the quartet build their careful efforts together to create a tapestry of surprisingly warm sounds – using just a bit of vocals in really great ways, and almost prefacing a whole generation of UK and Euro pop to come – yet without any of their schmaltz! Titles include "Europe Endless", "Hall of Mirrors", "Abzung", "Franz Schubert", and "Showroom Dummies" – not to mention the awesome title track and electro break number "Metal On Metal".  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

A definite hard attack from Dust – a set that really lives up to its Frank Frazetta cover image at the best moments – but also has some surprising acoustic elements, too! Heads Up
Liberty, Late 60s. New Copy (reissue)
Heavy rock from a group who definitely live up to their name! The Heads work in a messed-up mix of late 60s rock styles – all pretty straightforward, but with elements of soul bubbling underneath a heady brew of psychedelic guitars and darker production. The set was put together by George ... LP, Vinyl record album

Amazing stuff – the first album by Fred Neil, one of the 60s' most underrated singer/songwriters! The album is really one of the best places to start with Fred's work – as it's got a rough folksy quality that's really wonderful, and very much in the spirit of Tim Hardin, with whom we'd ... Capitol, Late 60s. New Copy (reissue)
An excellent album of jazzy rock material from Detroit! The Corporation were definitely one of the hipper groups ever to record for Capitol during the late 60s, as you'll hear on their incredible version of John Coltrane's "India", done as a progged-out slightly funky instrumental, and ... The Roger Corman-Phil Spector year of the mighty Ramones! One of 70s rock's finest moments – the second album from Big Star!
