Although Curtis Mayfield isn't featured as an artist on this compilation, he did play a big part in either penning or producing most of these classic Chicago soul tracks for the city's legendary Okeh label. Some of these tracks were the stuff of 60's soul chart hits, but most of them are pretty darn tough to find these days. This set manages to cull together 18 of the biggest Okeh tracks, plus a few other lesser-known goodies that we almost never see. Titles include "You Can't Hurt Me No More" by The Opals, "Gotta Get Away" by Billy Butler & The Enchanters, "Funny (Not Much)" by Walter jackson, "Good Times" by Gene Chandler, "I'm The One Who Loves You" by Major Lance, "Patty Cake" by The Artistics, and lots more!
