An early 60s Columbia classic from Johnny Williams – a rare album of stereo-heavy instrumentals done in a style that's quite similar to the RCA Stereo Action series of the time – with lots of unusual instrumentation, and a wide-ranging sound that leaps back and forth from speaker to speaker! There's plenty of jazzy interplay in the music – similar to Williams' 60s soundtrack work – and the large array of woodwind, brass, and rhythm players includes west coast jazzmen like Pete Candoli, Shelly Manne, Jimmy Rowles, Larry Bunker, and others. Titles include "The Varsity Drag", "Fascinatin Rhythm", "Johnny One Note", "An Occasional Man", "Sunny Disposish", "Buckle Down Winsocki", and "My Heart Belongs To Daddy". (6 eye demo pressing with deep groove, in non-lenticular cover. Cover has a Demonstration stamp on back, a spot of old tape on the spine with a small rip and a spot of wear in the top seam.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Amazing! The great LA rock/studio drummer Hal Blaine recorded this trippy batch of tracks during the late 60's – and it's way wilder than anything else he ever did! Blaine plays drums at the base of the whole thing, but they're processed with super heavy electronics (courtesy of Paul ... LP, Vinyl record album

Africana!
Strand, Late 50s. Very Good+
Traditional African sounding stuff, but we're not sure if it's legit, or played by some West Coast studio musicians. The cover's got a nice cartoony look to it, with a fearful female face peering over a jungle landscape. LP, Vinyl record album

Big Screen Little Screen
RCA, 1971. Very Good+
Henry Mancini balances things out between the big screen of the cinema and the little screen of the TV – both showcases for his famous work over the years! Many of the numbers here aren't Mancini originals, but hits of the day, redone by Hank in a variety of modes – some a bit funky, ... LP, Vinyl record album
