A lesser-known follow-up to Julie London's classic Julie Is Her Name album – one that actually features Julie wearing clothes on the cover, but which still comes across with a very sexy sound! The approach here is similar to the first set – with Howard Roberts backing up Julie's vocals, in a style that's quite similar to that used by Barney Kessel the first time around. Red Mitchell's bass is really the only other instrumentation – and the spareness of the set is stunning – with a nakedness that gets past even Julie's heavy turtleneck on the cover! Titles include "If I'm Lucky", "Little White Lies", "Hot Toddy", "Blue Moon", "Goody Goody", and "Spring Is Here". (Turquoise label pressing with deep groove. Cover has some peeling the top left corner, some splitting and masking tape on the seams, a sticker with some tape, and some pen scribbles and an ink stamp on the back. Label has a sticker.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Different Strokes
Liberty, Late 60s. Near Mint-
Sublime 60s work from The Four Freshmen – a record that's very different than their 50s classics, but in a wonderful way! The Freshmen had had a key influence on the sound of sunshine pop in the 60s – a fact that was often noted by Brian Wilson, who'd wanted the Beach Boys to sound ... LP, Vinyl record album

Reprise, 1965. Very Good+
What can we say? We're unabashed Dean Martin fans – and this album is a perfect example of why! The record comes from that magic year of 1965 – a time when Dean's solo career was reaching untold new heights, as his TV show was beginning its very successful run, and Dean's frequent ...
