Indefinta Atmosfera
CD (Item 8766) Schema (Italy), 1997 — Condition: New Copy
Overlooked genius from the early years of Schema Records – done by a group who maybe came a few years to soon to share in the fame of artists like Nicola Conte or Gerardo Frisina – but whose sound here is equally great! Neos are a pair of jazz musicians – Luigi Bonafede on Fender Rhodes and Gianni Bedori on tenor and flute – but they get plenty of collaborative help here in a set of tracks that perfectly blends bossa roots and Italian jazz – often with lots of warm touches that recall best sorts of fusions you'd find in the European scene of the 70s! There's a warmth to the record that's undeniable, and a classic sort of soul, too – one that made it a real standout at the time – and which has continued to keep us treasuring it for years. A few cuts feature female vocals – and titles include "G Bossa", "Cosmic Funk", "Na Bahia", "Indian Diary", and "Blusamba". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
