Gimme A Piece Of Gut Rock
LP (Item 612138) Strawberry Rain, 1977 — Condition: New Copy
Benny Soebardja & Lizard's second album together – going even farther out into the cosmos with spacey keyboards and proggier tendencies – yet it's still connected to Benny's Indonesian psych funk roots! Swirling keys and funky organ grooves with heavy drums and blazing guitars are the order of the day here. Wigged out keyboards and a looser dynamic come into play quite a bit here, though there's still plenty of heavier funk rock and melodic English vocals – and longer songs thanon the earlier album! Benny's backed by Lizard and his earlier Giant Step group. Great stuff! Includes "The Advantage Of Music For Me", "End Of The World ", "Pensive", "Circle Of Love", "Gut Rock" and "Young Widow". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
