A masterpiece from SF rocker Steve Miller – and a perfect summation of the years of blues, soul, funk, and rock he'd been soaking up in the Bay Area scene! The album crossed over instantly with the massive cut "Fly Like An Eagle" – already great on its own, but supported here with the massive "Space Intro", which adds an extra minute of cool electronics to the tune. Other great cuts include the amazing funky rocker "Take The Money And Run", plus "The Window", "Mercury Blues", and "Dance, Dance, Dance". (Cover has light ring & edge wear, with a peeled spot on the back. Label has some marker.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Brave New World
Capitol, 1969. Very Good+ Gatefold
A brilliant standout in a late 60s world of blues rock – a set that goes way beyond what most of Steve Miller's contemporaries were doing at the time – to find a brave new world that's all its own! As before, the drums are key to the group's sound – harder and funkier than most ... LP, Vinyl record album

Linda's first solo record after the Stone Poneys, released in 1969, and a prime example of Linda's big, boisterous and passionate vocal style, floating over some groovy steel guitar and a more extroverted sound on the best tunes, but with some nice folkier numbers, too. It's surprising mix of ... LP, Vinyl record album

The slimmed-down, single LP effort that Capitol issued after the collapse of the legendary Smile album – and a pretty sublime set nonetheless! A standout set from the songwriting team who provided plenty of greatness for The Monkees – but who sound equally great on their own!
