Jazz Tempo Latin Accents!
LP (Item 78736) Audio Fidelity, 1965 — Condition: New Copy
New York avant meets the bossa – and a once-in-a-lifetime session that brings the sax and flute work of Simmons, Lash, and Clifford Jordan into play with Brazilian rhythms from the Bossa Tres! The album's completely wonderful – an excellent bossa jazz session at its core, but filled with some cutting edge reed work that makes the record stand out a lot more from the pack. The American players don't play on every track – leaving about half the record to the Bossa Tres on their own – making for a nice shift between trio bossa tunes and larger group jamming numbers. Titles include "Minortory", "Epistle To Trane", "Moanin", "Love For Sale", "Bottles", "Yesterdays", "Whisper Not", and "Dahoud". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
