Lord You're So Good – Live Recordings Vol 2
LP (Item 615014) 50 Miles Of Elbow Room, 1970s — Condition: New Copy
A second essential set of stirring live recordings of Rev Charlie Jackson – a powerful guitar playing evangelist in the south who began recording some of his church services in the 70s – and it's some of the best raw gospel blues from the period that we've been blessed to hear! It includes a handful moving solo recordings of just Charlie's voice and electric guitar, others that find the reverend backed by passionate backing singers, and still others in which he lets others lead the way on vocals. It's beautiful stuff – and in a very nicely put together vinyl package by 50 Miles Of Elbow Room. Titles include "Stand By Me", "Send It Down", "Come Into My Room", "Tell Heaven", "I Don't Know What You Come To Do", "I've Got A Mind To Live For Jesus" with Laura Davis Jackson and "Lord You're So Good". (Comes with a nice little insert booklet, too!) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
