The second Dillanthology -- featuring great remixes and productions Dilla did for a diverse roster of artists -- from bedrock mid school hip hop by De La Soul, Pharcyde and others, to avant club groove gurus Four Tet, Spacek, to the rare 12" mixes and unreleased gems -- an even stronger set than Dillanthology Vol 1! This one's excellent for it's inclusion of Dilla remixes and alternate versions of some pretty famous singles -- his remix of De La Soul's "Stakes Is High" is actually a bit more gruff & gritty than the original mix, with a guest spot from a young Mos Def, while the version of "Whoo Ha" by Busta Rhymes found here is less manic than the more famous mix. Also includes a previously unreleased remix of "The Ultimate" by Artifacts, and some spacey, jazzy mixes from later years of including the organ funk groover "Oblighetto" by Jack McDuff and more. Essential! Also includes "Y?
