Midnight In Space
LP (Item 609657) PDU/Wah Wah (Spain), 1978 — Condition: New Copy
Midnight in space – set to a very ethereal mix of keyboards, synth, and other processed sounds – delivered with a feel that's a lot spookier than the album's cheesy cover of a nude body floating in the cosmos! Most of the work is relatively mellow – not the cosmic kind of club grooves you'd expect from other electronic work like this at the time – and Hydrus do a really good job of pacing the set – keeping things interesting enough from a prog perspective, but without any jamming at all – and definitely avoiding any too-mellow traps of the more atmospheric Euro scene. Titles include "The Two Planets", "Milky Way", "Space Link Up", "Hibernation", and "Earth Calling Space". (Limited edition of 500.) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
