LP (Item 438942) Funky Delicacies, Early 80s — Condition: New Copy
An obscure bit of funk from early 80s Louisiana – one that's got a groove that's much more like New York groups of the time than some of Superior Elevation's contemporaries down south! The work here is heavy on the keyboards – often used in a boogie-styled 80s groove mode, but usually with a rougher sensibility than usual practitioners of the genre – at a level that makes for a nice sort of indie appeal to the record – a rough-edged version of ensemble funk that's a fair bit different than work hitting the charts! All cuts have vocals and some sort of electric component – and the reissue supposedly adds two bonus tracks to the LP – making for a total of 8 cuts that include "Music Is The Way (Black Satin version)", "Get It Don't Stop", "Superior Funk", "Tuff Stuff", "Computer Woman", "I'm In Love With You", "Don't Let Go Babe", and "Music Is The Way (Lake City version)". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
