A beautiful album of soul tracks that has the Dells performing a number of new tracks ("Like It Is"), and doing new versions of some old favorites ("Like It Was"), with swirling baroque production by Charles Stepney that transforms the older ones into nice new tracks with a great late-60s Cadet sound. Titles include "Off Shore", "Open Up My Heart", "Oh, What A Day", "Long, Lonely Nights", and "I'm Not Afraid Of Tomorrow". Tough to find, too! (Cover has some wear, a cut corner and moderate peeling along the spine from moisture.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

The third album from Black Heat – and quite possibly the funkiest of the bunch – thanks to an even tighter sound than before, and lots of emphasis on the bottom of the groove! Further genius from James Brown at the start of the 70s – a record that's starting to show some of the more open-ended grooves he'd explore with the JBs on their own albums – longer, stretched-out tracks that are way more than simple funk and soul!
