Beautiful solo work from Joachim Kuhn – material that's often a bit more sensitive and deeper in feeling than his more balls-out avant work of the time! Kuhn plays both acoustic and electric piano – sometimes overdubbing the latter, which makes for a wonderful sound – full of space and stepping out with this exploratory feel that's really wonderful! But even the acoustic piano is great, too – cascading in ways we've hardly ever heard from Kuhn – really linking together his presence in the French scene of the time with some of the other pianistic advances on the continent.
