Now Again looks to rising Chi beatmaking maestro Maker for this killer entry in their Vs. series of great Sound Library-styled releases – following up efforts by Oh No & Koushik – and we have to say, Maker may have delivered the best one yet! We know that's a heck of a statement, because Oh No delivered a knockout, too – but the tight, steadily thumping drums on this set and the focus on straight up, unrelenting boom bap is quite irresistible. That's not to say other elements are ignored – hazy atmospherics, hypnotically looping vocal bits, sampled strings aand other washes of sound keeps it fresh and inspired throughout. 20 tracks: "Walk Away Sun", "The Love We Have", "Everything Is Beautiful", "Hold'Em", "Colors", "Summer Times", "Come Home With Me", "Sneak Into My Bedroom", "Ashtray", "Shakebite" and more.
