A lesser-known soundtrack from Ennio Morricone – but one of his grooviest moments of the late 60s! The score is a great blend of heavy and light – and blends together that wonderful floating Morricone style with some heavier, fuzzier tunes that show the late 60s period of the film – all making for a really fleshed-out sound, of the sort that you're usually likely to hear in some of Morricone's classics! The album includes one great number that's got an extended sitar solo, and a few more with hard-edged male vocals by Patrick Samson that almost feel like late 60s French pop! Titles include "Gloria", "Sytar", "Una Voce Allo Specchio", "Tell Me Tell Me", "Sospendi Il Tempo", "In Tre Quarti", "Laila Laila", and "Dinamica Per 5 + 1".  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Cinephile/Castle (UK), 1975. New Copy Gatefold (reissue)
Heist films always provided some of the best soundtracks of the 70's, and this one (starring Robert Shaw and Richard Roundtree, and issued in the US as Diamond Shaft) is no exception! Roy Budd rises to the groovy occasion and scores some excellent moments that match a light orchestral sound with a ... LP, Vinyl record album
Contour, 1975. New Copy (reissue)
Nice funky 70s instrumentals, composed by Alan Tew, and performed by the group Bullet – a hip electric combo with a tight sound library feel. The overall style reminds us of Lalo Schifrin or Quincy Jones cop show work from the early 70s – with some tasty keyboards, plenty of riffing, ... LP, Vinyl record album
Right Tempo (Italy), 1973/1998. New Copy 2LP
Fantastic! Easy Tempo scores again with this beautiful rerelease/repackaging of Gianni Ferrio's lost score for the film Una Farfalla Con Le Ali Insanguinate. The music has lots of spare spooky keyboards, with a slow building sound that's similar to Francis Lai's best soundtrack work, and a warm ... LP, Vinyl record album
Sundazed, Late 60s/Early 70s. New Copy 2LP Gatefold
A pretty great set of unreleased tracks by Michael Fennelly – a name that might be instantly familiar, but he's a vital figure in late 60s sunshine rock and 70s power pop – thanks to his work in Curt Boettcher's Millennium and Fennelly's later group Crabby Appleton! Polydor, 1973. New Copy (reissue)
What can we say? This is one of the greatest soul soundtracks ever! In a market that was dominated by the big-selling Shaft and Superfly albums, Roy slipped in this masterful blend of jazzy vibes and wah wah funk that's easily one of the best-composed records of the blacksploitation genre!
