A beautiful collection of vocal group material from the Philly powerhouse Cameo/Parkway – home to some of the best soul and rock work coming out of the city in the early and mid 60s! The set does a wonderful job of bringing forth the best work from both styles – mixing things up in the genre-blind way that you'd often get in radio at the time – going first for great harmonies, and caring less about the exact nature of the group involved. A few cuts here are hits, but there's lots more obscure singles from the label – which makes the package one of the most collectors-oriented that we've ever seen from Collector's Choice – almost at an Ace-styled sort of approach.
