Loving Is Living
LP (Item 4528) Portrait, 1978 — Condition: Used
The first secular album by The McCrarys – the start of a great run for this group who started in gospel, then really blossomed even more strongly in soul music! The record's got an endorsement from Stevie Wonder, who also plays harmonica and does a small bit of vocalizing – but the real strength is in the vocal work of the group, which is always very tight in kind of an LA backing group sort of way – but with a lot more depth too – one that clearly comes from their gospel roots, but which is right at home here on an album of tight, upbeat arrangements. The set's got a really positive vibe throughout – and titles include "Givin It Up", "Loving Is Living", "Here's That Feeling", "You Are The Key", "Looking Ahead", and "Don't Wear Yourself Out". (White label promo, including the lyric sleeve. Cover has some wear, with a promo stamp and tracklist sticker on the back.) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
