Pretty straight stuff – the dramatic score to Douglas Sirk's version of Imitiation of Life, written by Frank Skinner, and performed here by Joseph Gershenson at the head of the Universal International Orchestra. The album includes the vocal tracks "Imitiation Of Life" by Earl Grant and "Soon I Will Be Done With The Trouble Of The World" by Lillian Hayman – and the instrumental tunes "Break Up", "Rejected", "Disappointed", "Lovely", and "Secrets". Nice shot of Lana Turner on the cover, too!  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.
