Next Set A Rockers (Japanese paper sleeve edition)
CD (Item 475340) Third Ear (Japan), 2008 — Condition: New Copy
It's been 10 years since 2000 Black first started catching our ears, and they've never sounded better! This album's way more than just a "next set" of grooves from the pair – as it really shows a growth over time, a unified musical vision that has them hitting some of the same cosmic heights as 4 Hero! And although we've always loved 2000 Black tunes in the past, this set is a really well-developed album – balanced beautifully between skittish rhythms, soaring soul, and some occasional jazzy touches – especially on the keyboards from Dego and Kaidi Tatham. As before, there's some wonderful vocal talents on board – including Nadine Charles, Lady Alma, Ferraz, Rasiyah, Ty, Vanessa Freeman, and Face – all of whom contribute strong individual voices to the album's righteous sound. Titles include "Dealt A Bad Hand", "Hey There", "Simple Sacrifice", "Don't Make Me Hurt You", "A Little More", "What's It To Be", "Take It Back", "Move Over", "Got Me Puzzled", "If You Got 3 Wishes", and "Lost It". © 1996-2010, Dusty Groove America, Inc. | |||||
