CD (Item 603767) Kanaga System Krush, 2012 — Condition: New Copy

Great percussion from Amadou "Taga" Sidibe – an amazingly deft djembe player, working here in a nicely rootsy setting! The set really just features solo passages from Sidibe – on the small Sogonikun djembe – supported by additional djembe and percussion, and topped with beautiful vocals from Tu Sinayoko – whose sweet lyrics are an amazing counterpoint to the drums! The recording quality is great – very sharp, but never slick – just the right style to capture the spontaneous energy of the performance – and titles include "Sigi Bolile", "Duniya Jigiye", "Jaguwara", "Sungurubani", and "Dunan Te Wala Wala Ni Jatigi Te".  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
