Later work by Jack, but an album recorded with a fair amount of care, and one that captures his classic vocals and trombone in just the right setting. The group's a sextet – with Don Goldie on trumpet, Don Ewell on piano, and Barrett Deems on drums. Shay Torrent plays organ on the track "Love Lies", and other tunes include "It's All In Your Mind", "Don't Tell A Man About His Woman", "Peaceful Valley", and "Afternoon In August".  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Getz Au Go Go
Verve, Mid 60s. Very Good- Gatefold
A beautiful dreamy album that's quite different from the classic Getz/Gilberto collaboration – but which also shares much of that set's lyrical beauty! This album was recorded live, in 1964, when Stan Getz was playing with his quartet that included Gary Burton on vibes – an incredible ... LP, Vinyl record album

Verve, 1961. Good Gatefold
Milt Jackson joins the Oscar Peterson Trio – helping the group to hit some great new space with his magical work on vibes! Hip Vibrations
Verve, Late 60s. Near Mint-
Groovy, YEAH! A very cool set of instrumental tracks, played by Cal on vibes, with sweet 60s pop jazz arrangements by Benny Golson. This is the kind of hip mix of styles that Verve did so well in the late 60s – and it's got a whirlwind of influences (Latin, bossa, soul jazz), all blending ... LP, Vinyl record album

Blues
Trip, 1966. Sealed
Trip issue of material from Randy Weston's under-issued years of the mid 60s – just 3 long tracks that are all totally great! Randy's playing with a group that's similar in spirit to that used on the classic African Cookbook – Ray Copeland on trumpet, Frank Haynes on tenor, Bill Wood ... LP, Vinyl record album

RCA, 1951. Very Good-
Excellent cool jazz work from the postwar explosion on the Swedish jazz scene! Altoist Domnerus plays nicely swinging material with differing groups of Swedish players that include Lars Gullin, Gunnar Svensson, Rolf Ericson, and others. Tracks include "You Can Count On Me", "Party ... LP, Vinyl record album
