CD (Item 575727) Tapecar/Discobertas (Brazil), 1975 — Condition: New Copy

A damn great little record from Candeia – a set that's even rootsier than his earlier albums – with lots of heavy percussion at the bottom, and an earthy quality that really hits home right from the start! Candeia's vocals are wonderful throughout – slightly raspy, and very individual – no easy samba cliches at all – and coming across with a sense of personality that makes us feel like Candeia's serving up the tunes just for us, right on the spot! Titles include "Brinde Ao Cansaco", "Conselhos De Vadio", "Camafeu", "Acalentava", and "Sinha Dona De Casa".  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
