Trulofa Trio (180 gram vinyl)
LP (Item 574240) Sagittarius (Italy), 2010 — Condition: New Copy
Free improv, but with a difference! The record's got a feel that's a lot warmer, and more rootsy than others of its nature – almost an earthy, tribal sort of quality – with touches at times that remind us of the music of Moondog back in the 50s! Part of that comes from the group's heavy use of recorders – two of the three members play the instrument – often blown over percussion with a light, airy sound that's nice and sweet – occasionally offset by darker tones on tenor, plus bits of flute, percussion, and some occasional vocalizations. The whole thing's got a really mysterious feel – furthered by the lack of titles for the tunes, and the relatively handmade packaging! (Limited edition.) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
