Groovy stuff! The album features Johnny Dankworth's fab score for Modesty Blaise – the sexy slinky British queen of international adventure, played by Monica Vitti in the 1966 film. The soundtrack's got some great jazzy numbers, a few variations on the theme, and some weird groovy tracks that feature some odd instrumental turns. Titles include "Modesty Blaise", "Moods Of Modesty", "More Moods Of Modesty", "Modesty & Willie Escape", "Canal Trip", "At The Doll's House", "The Shiek To The Rescue", and "Ice Is Nice", with vocals by Bob Breen! A killer 60s soundtrack! The score was written for a strange biker film that starred Marianne Faithfull and Alain Delon – and it's filled with lots of driving grooves, wailing organ lines, and jangly guitar parts. The whole thing's strung together with occasional sound effects, giving the ... LP, Vinyl record album

The soundtrack to Kiss Of The Damned – kind of a modern take on the style of sultry European vampire films of the 70s – nicely done by composer Steven Hufsteter and featuring some cool stand-alone songs, too! Rare soundtrack work from Francois Tusques – best known as a French jazz musician with left-leaning talents that made him a big force in the post-1968 scene – but already sounding great here in music for an offbeat vampire film! A less tense and caustic Roots than the crew that hit us on the majority of Rising Down a couple years earlier – and this one's as strong of an album as they've delivered since moving over to Def Jam.
