New Blues & Gospel (180 gram pressing)
LP (Item 581025) Biograph/Sutro Park, 1971 — Condition: New Copy
Late recordings by Reverend Gary Davis – purportedly his last recordings, and wonderfully spiritual material from the blues guitar great! It was done in NYC in March of '71 and served as his first studio session in a handful of years, though he performed regularly. It's a mix of spiritual and secular numbers and it includes "How Happy I Am", "I Heard The Angels Singing", "Samson And Delilah", "Children Of Zion", "Talk On The Corner", "Sally, Where'd You Get Your Whiskey?", "Whistling Blues", Hesitation Blues", "Soon My Work Will All Be Done" and "Lost John". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
