Cholo (limited edition with bonus track) (LP style sleeve)
CD (Item 586523) Repsychled/Lion, 1972 — Condition: New Copy
Peruvian psych folk from El Polen! This their early 70s album served as the soundtrack for a film of the same name that we know nothing about, but the music is really great! Chiming, largely acoustic instrumentation acoustic and twelve-string rhythm guitar, mandolin, cello, violin, drums, bongos, bamboo and Andean flutes. The structure ranges from airy atmospherics to more profoundly song-based (with more vocals)– and it pulls us in strongly both ways. Titles include "La Flor", "Cholito Pantalon Blanco", "Valicha", "Tondero", "Secuencias De Organillo Y Polophon" and more. Includes the bonus track "El Mundo Revivido" with vocals by Susana Baca. (Limited to 400 hand-numbered copies. Comes in slim sleeve with a reproduced concert ticket and show poster, plus a group photo.) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
