A whole host of previously-unissued recordings from Michel Legrand – longer-form suites designed for various cinematic projects – most of them quite long, and with a lot more variety than the original soundtracks! The setting is mostly orchestral – with Legrand directing a very large ensemble of musicians capable hitting the rich moods of the pieces – almost mini-movies themselves, in sound – with a level of scoring that goes way past some of the more familiar simple rhythms you might know from Michel Legrand's bigger hits!
