LP (Item 47454) MCA, 1977 — Condition: Used
These guys were a big group in Trinidad – where, according to the cover, they were the number 1 R&B group in the 70s – but they hardly cracked the US marked with this 1977 release. The album's a combination of 70s funk and various African influences – mostly uptempo, in a driving slicker version of the Afro Funk sound of the early 70s. Recorded in Canada with production and arrangements by Tony Silvester of the Main Ingredient – and tracks that include "Hello Africa", "Hosannah", "Sweet Music", La La Jam Back", and "Nice & Slow". (Cover has a split spine, ringwear, edge wear, and some splits on the top & bottom seams.) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
