An obscure second set from the man who gave the world "Bounce Rock Skate Roll" – but a great one too! The album's got Vaughan Mason paired with Butch Dayo, in a way that brings a nice sort of back/forth feel to his usual roller skating groove – with results that are even more partyful than the first time around! The pair have a great sort of street soul energy to their groove – not really breakdance or electro, but not that far off – and served up with a much deeper soul conception than you'd usually find in this sort of project! We'd even go so far as to note a bit of hip hop influence in the music – even though the overall approach is definitely clubby soul – and titles include the great "Party on the Corner", plus "Rollalong Songs", "Feel My Love", and "You Can Do It". (NOTE: Vinyl is clean but has heat damage with skipping on most on the first track on both sides & some cartridge wobbling throughout. Cover has a large name in marker on the front, some pen, a cutout notch, & some marker on the back. Labels have pen.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

The second album by this legendary 70s funk combo – best known as Herbie Hancock's backing band, but sounding great here on their own. Excellent work from this smooth Chicago vocal group! The album may well be the best the group ever recorded – and it features some stellar ballad work produced with a nice spacey tone, almost in a Rose Royce mellow mode – by Jerry Butler's Fountain Productions team and by Clarence ... A masterpiece of funky soul – and one of the greatest albums of the early 70s! It all comes together on this one – funk, soul, politics, and production – and the record is still one of the clearest examples of James Brown's genius that you'll ever find! Recorded during the same ... LP, Vinyl record album
