Over the span of a few decades, maestro Ilaiyaraaja recorded hundreds of scores, many under different names (or differently spelled names) in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada – Southern Indian music as relentlessly danceable as boundlessly groovy as we could have imagined. We also can't imagine how arduous the task must have been for compilers Doug Shipton and Pavel Chehunov to go through such a vast catalog to put together this essential compilation, which just makes it all the more amazing!
