Mindblowing sounds from The Residents – and a key link between hippie experimentalism of the 60s and some of the darker noise moments of the 70s! The sound is incredibly rich – layers of textures coming from instruments played by the group, and supposedly material from their huge archive of tapes collected over the span of a decade. Throughout, there's a playful feel that really keeps things appealing – a subtle sense of humor that's never as stoned-out as the Zappa generation, hidden under the enigmatic trappings of the group.
