One of the best honky tonk albums of the late 50s – Hank Thompson doing as he doggone pleases, drinking to and singing for the seedy side! Hank always had a good-natured vocal presence, so you gotta figure it seemed harmless enough to have him take on some of the more ornery songs of period – the ones about roving gamblers, red light districts and otherwise raising cain. Somehow, this seemed to scare the establishment, though! Great Ken Nelson production, too!
