No Accommodation For Lagos
LP (Item 584611) Kindred Spirits (Netherlands), 1979 — Condition: New Copy
Pivotal Afro Funk tracks from Tony Allen – a masterpiece! Allen is recording here as the leader of the Afrika 70 group, but with Fela in the band, and handling production chores as well. The groove is very similar to Fela's, but with the drums higher in the mix, and a bit more of an instrumental feel. A tremendous record, one that really signifies what the immense talent of Tony Allen as a leader! And as with Fela's work, the album features 2 long tracks – "No Accommodation For Lagos" and "African Message". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
