Andrew White Live At The Foolery Vol 4
LP (Item 602736) Andrew's Music, 1974 — Condition: New Copy
A great second chapter in the Foolery series from Andrew White – one that, like the Marathon series a year later, has him switching groups to keep up with his energy! The players here include Steve Novosel on bass, Donald Waters on piano, and Bernard Sweetney on drums – and they really let loose to propel Andrew into the stratosphere – pushing his already-strong sax lines forth with unbounded rhythms that soar with a spiritual, yet swinging sense of energy. On the long track "Good Luck Next", White takes an incredible solo in the middle – work rivaling the most expressive players of his generation – and also sounds great on the aptly-titled "Three Stage Rocket".
