CD (Item 587346) No Business (Lithuania), Late 90s/2000s — Condition: New Copy

Amazing sounds from pianist Howard Riley – easily one of the most compelling talents of his generation on the piano, presented here in a set that really lets you dig into his music! The tracks here are all from a series of "short stories" – spontaneous piano inventions that often feature Riley using overdubs to improvise with himself – usually taken on the first take, but filled with incredible variety and amazing energy – already incredible if you hear just one or two tracks, but even more so in the expanded company of this box set – which features over 70 titles in all! The first four CDs feature material issued previously by other labels, combined here with an extra two discs' worth of material that's seeing light for the first time – all in a limited package that's destined to disappear soon! (Limited edition of 300 copies.)  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
