Everything Scatter/Noise For Vendor Mouth (LP sleeve edition)
CD (Item 516899) Knitting Factory, 1975 — Condition: New Copy
Two excellent Fela albums from 1975 – both quite rare in the original! Everything Scatter features two long tracks – "Everything Scatter", a bass-heavy, sax-riffing jammer with a mad mad electric piano solo; and "Who No Know Go Know", a funky call for freedom in Africa, one that's got a kicked-up beat that's bound to deliver the message to anyone who's within earshot! Noise For Vendor Mouth features two more long groovers – "Noise For Vendor Mouth" is a mostly instrumental tune about Fela's Kalakuta Republic, and its reputation in Nigeria; and "Mattress" is a rare stab at feminisim, as Fela explains the relation between sexuality and gender in African society. The cut's got a great tripped-out break on the intro, with these mad riffing horns that sound equally cool! (Nice gatefold cardboard sleeve.) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
