70's 2LP set that reissues some of the classic tenor material from Griff and Lockjaw recorded for the Jazzland label in the early 60's. The set's got some great gutsy hardbop material, plus a number of excellent Monk interpretations. Titles include "Epistrophy", "Camp Meeting", "Tin Tin Deo", "Walkin", and "Good Bait". Nice set of notes on the duo, too!  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Cadet, Mid 60s/1972. Very Good

The tracks all came from the same live set that spawned the group's hit single version of "Hang On ... LP, Vinyl record album

Kudu, 1975. Very Good
An incredible batch of electric funk from Grover Washington Jr – easily one of his best albums ever! The record really picks up from the sweet CTI sound of the 70s – taking Bob James arrangements with a lot of space and electric keyboards, and letting Groover blow some wonderfully ...
