Book (Item 70393) Funky & Groovy (Switzerland), 2005 — Condition: New Copy

An amazing little book – at a new low price – and an essential guide to all things funky and groovy! For nearly a decade, Peter Wermelinger's been compiling information about rare 60s and 70s records on his well-trafficked website – cover art, session details, catalog numbers, and all the key bits of information for rare funk records from around the globe. This book is the culmination of all those years of work, and is the most complete version of his listings that Peter's ever offered. The book features information on over 13,000 different records, with 3000 pictures of labels and covers, plus additional chapters on funk records, funk styles, and collecting! The black and white cover images are worth the price of the book alone – as they mean you'll never pass over that rare gem in the racks again, just because you didn't know what it looked like! But the listings themselves are even more important – and have really expanded our knowledge of what's out there. Not a cheap book, to be sure – but printed on really heavy glossy paper, and over 450 rock-solid pages! (Now out of print, these are the last copies available. Also note: Additional pages of this book are available online at http://funk.sharepointhosting.ch/lexicon_sale/default.aspx.)  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
