Sweetly gentle guitar work from Daniel Santiago – a younger player, but one with a style that's already rich in color and tone! Hamilton De Holanda produced the record with Daniel – and the set's got a bit of the feel of his own work – acoustic overall, but with a warm glow that almost makes you feel like there's a bit of electricity in the mix. The sound's never too smooth – thanks to a way of working the strings that often has Santiago getting a good "rasp" out of his guitar – and the group here is a trio, with Andre Vasconcellos on bass and Marcio Bahia on drums – working in gentle accompaniment with Santiago, almost in a mode that recalls the sound of ECM in the 70s.
