CD (Item 578711) Heavenly Sweetness (France), 2011 — Condition: New Copy
A nice one from soul poet Anthony Joseph and his expansively stylistic, yet tightly grooving Spasm Band – bits of calypso and otherwise tropically toasted funk and Afro Soul – produced by the great Malcolm Catto! We've never seen the band in action, but this album has a very live feel – and it's a great approach. Joseph's storytelling style is great, too – the lyricism is impressive, but so is his charismatic delivery. Includes "Griot", "Started Off As A Dancer", "She Is The Sea", "Cobra", "Tanty Lynn", "Speak The Name", "Bullet In The Rocks", "Generations" and more. © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
