Remember Me – 22 Previously Unissued Tracks (Japanese paper sleeve edition)

Out Of Stock

Add Item to Want List
CD (Item 481191) Stax/Universal (Japan), 1960s — Condition: New Copy

Rare work from Otis Redding – material recorded during his legendary run for Stax Records in the 60s, all of which was never issued at the time! The quality here is still tremendously high – way more so than most of Redding's many imitators at the time, and proof that even on a bad day, Otis was still King – singing both original material and key covers with an undeniable sense of soul! There's a few alternate takes here that illuminate more famous versions of Redding tunes – but most of the numbers are unreleased cuts that add a lot of new music to the Otis Redding catalog. Titles include "She's All Right", "Send Me Some Lovin", "Remember Me", "Tick Or Treat", "Loving By The Pound (take 1)", "Respect (alternate)", "Sittin On The Dock Of The Bay (take 1)", "Don't Be Afraid Of Love", "You Got Good Lovin", "Gone Again", "I'm Coming Home", "Cupid", and "The Boston Monkey".
