The Heath Brothers groove is nicely expanded by a set of added horns – all of whom bring a nice sense of fullness to the tracks, in a way that recalls some of Jimmy Heath's best arranging styles from years back! Jimmy's in the frontline on tenor and soprano sax, joined by Percy Heath on acoustic bass and cello, and Albert Heath on drums and percussion – and the rest of the combo features piano by Jeb Patton, trombone from Benny Powell, and 5 other brass players who deepen the tones and colors of the tunes quite nicely. There's a great choice of songs here too – a fair bit of Heath-penned tracks that show the thoughtful writing of Jimmy and his brothers – on tracks that include "A Harmonic Future", "I'm Lost", "13th House", "Move To The Groove", and "Three At Last" – plus a great take on Kenny Dorham's "None Shall Wander".
