Tschus (180 gram pressing)
LP (Item 593321) FMP/Cien Fuegos (Austria), 1975 — Condition: New Copy
A classic performance from the powerhouse trio of Peter Brotzmann on reeds, Fred Van Hove on piano, and Han Bennink on percussion – and exactly the kind of record that shows the European scene moving into bold new territory during the FMP generation! There's still plenty of the full-on energy of the late 60s here, but at times, the record gets a bit more introspective, too – showing a sensitive ear for really fresh sounds – the three musicians pushing familiar instruments to their limits, and forcing them to come up with unusual tones that are simply mindblowing. Some tunes are short, but in a way that's really focused, too – and titles include "Claptrap", "Petit Blues Fourre", "RW Sch", "2 B-Klarinetten", "Bierhaus Wendel", "Tofftoff", and "Zigan Zigan". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
