Cosmic Outlaw
LP (Item 562953) Unheard-Of, Late 80s/1990s — Condition: New Copy
Compelling work from the Texas underground of the mid 80s – material unlike any mainstream sounds that were coming out at the time! Russell Hoke sings and plays guitar, banjo, and harmonica – in a beautifully rootsy blend of folk and blues, done with a timeless quality that's really beautiful! We might be tempted to call Russell an outsider – but there's a personal, upfront nature to this work that's way more than that – and like Nikki Sudden on some of his best acoustic records of the same stretch, Russell works hard to go against the grain, and keep a beautiful spirit alive! Titles include "Go Pay The Bill", "The Truth Of My Treason", "Don't Eye Reality", "I'm A Cosmic Outlaw", "Shattering Of The Form", and "Space's Pall Is Over The Lass Of Many Lands". (Very limited – and comes in a unique hand-painted, hand-assembled cover!) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
